patios

We asked Dave LaCrone of local food blog, Kansas City Lunch Spots,
to share his list of the top ten patios in town. These are in no particular order,
not even alphabetical order. Dave did a great job of mixing it up and adding some
additional commentary. Read Dave's patio review on his blog here.

Celina Tio’s Brookside restaurant features one outdoor area
with proper dinner seating and another hangout zone where you can
bring your dog, smoke a cigar and have cocktails with friends.

Harry’s Bar & Tables
This spacious patio offers the best people watching in town
and some of Westport’s nicest, most eclectic patrons.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Harpo’s
The lovely, sprawling patio at this Westport drinkery
has a comfortable back yard feel. The patio has its own bar,
so the servers never let you get too thirsty.

The Westside Local
Make new friends at one of the Westside restaurant’s
communal picnic tables. They have great small plates
and bartenders who know their stuff.

McCoy’s
This deck is popular for many reasons: a great location, wonderful views,
good food and a high likelihood of running into friends serendipitously.

Californo’s
Often overlooked, this is really one of the prettiest spots to dine in Westport.
Californo’s is a great option for dinner and drinks in the evening.

Aixois
The outdoor seating doesn’t look like much, but it’s one of the
most sought-after dinner locations in the height of summer.
Dog-friendly, with very good food and highly professional service.

Genessee Royale Bistro
The West Bottoms location alone gives this new-ish breakfast,
lunch and happy hour spot a leg up on the competition.

El Pueblito
When you feel like hitting the Boulevard for Mexican,
you can’t beat El Pueblito’s mix of good food and outdoor seating.

John’s Big Deck
I honestly don’t like much about this bar, but as a downtown, summertime
happy hour spot, it works well and the rooftop view is tremendous.

Thanks so much Dave!

Not a patio shot, but a perfect patio sentiment.
