100 Day Giveaway!

It's hard to believe that we started this blog 100 days ago. We've met so many great people who all love the service industry, the restaurant scene and our city as much as we do. Thank you for your support, your kind words and for saying hi to us when we are out and about, working on this project that we have so much fun doing. To thank you all for being our blog regulars, we're giving away a vintage flask set. Three, 13 oz. tin-lined flasks and four shot glasses that fit inside a brown, zippered case with a handle. Made in Germany. Check back with us tomorrow when we get a little misty-eyed and reflect on all that has happened these last three months. Thanks again and good luck!

I love the fact that you feature a variety of service industry folk, of all ages and backgrounds.

Thanks for shedding light on such a great city, and I've loved introducing my friends to this fabulous bloggidry!

Well Linh,I think that you have given the people in the service industry a voice. Letting these fine folks tell their story to an audience that might not venture into where they work is a great way create new experiences for one another. But better yet generate local business!

Love the photos capture the spirit of the person. Sometimes you don't need much verbage for the person's personality to shine!

I just found out about this blog a couple days ago and I love it! I can't believe I have lived here my whole life and not known about some of these places and people you blog about. This has given me some great suggestions to go out to eat/snack/meet people. I am glad this exists!

Enthusiast about the concept of this blog... I'm enjoying watching the spread and notoriety you guys are getting. Kansas City certainly needed this.

Most of us in (& around) the service industry 'know' each other from being in the biz...this blog lets us (& anyone else that follows it) get to see the side of us that you don't get to see in our brief encounters...the softer & more personal side. The way Linh, in a paragraph or two (or seven if you are Patrick Ryan) and Tina through her lens, capture our personalities tells a story in a way that makes you want to go see these people. The blog freaking rocks & I love learning more about the people that I kinda already sorta 'know'.

I just found your blog and love that it has featured so many restaurants in KC that I'd never heard of! My list of places to try keeps getting longer with every post I read!

I love learning about people (part of why working in the industry is great!) so this is a really fun, unique way to do it. It is well-written, beautifully photographed, and interesting! Thank you for starting this blog, and I look forward to many-more-than-one-hundred days.

Just when you think Kansas City has it covered, your blog and outreach has added another gem to this city. I love that your highlighting those that do and serve (which is a positive word in my opinion). We're pretty much all connected and on a mission to make this city better and create a path for ourselves. A perfect example is that I was in Oddly Correct this morning talking to Greg and the owner of Bon Bon came in for a coffee. One thing lead to another and we started talking about your site. So, enough rambling, but great job on your work and mission.
